Hi! I am Shannon Gardener

Founder & Advanced Massage Therapist

With over 15 years of experience in massage therapy, Shannon is dedicated to helping clients achieve optimal movement, pain relief, and overall well-being. She completed her Bachelor’s in Neuromuscular Therapy in 2016, solidifying her expertise in remedial massage techniques and holistic health practices.

Beyond hands-on therapy, Shannon is passionate about educating the next generation of massage therapists. She is a leading expert in massage therapy and since 2019, she has been sharing her knowledge as a tutor at Ara Institute of Canterbury, guiding and supporting the Level 5 & 6 diploma students.

Her extensive experience includes working with professional athletes across multiple disciplines, aiding recovery, injury prevention, and performance optimization. Over five seasons in Wellington, Shannon worked with elite teams such as the Wellington Phoenix, Hurricanes, Wellington Lions, All Blacks, NZ Kiwis, Warriors, and Los Pumas. She has also provided post-event recovery massage for IRONMAN triathletes, ensuring their bodies recover efficiently after competition.

Shannon specializes in headaches, migraines, and neck pain, tailoring treatments to help clients regain mobility and comfort. She is also highly skilled in pregnancy massage, offering safe and effective techniques to support clients through all stages of pregnancy.

Her ultimate goal? To help you move better, feel better, and live better—using massage therapy as a powerful tool for holistic health and wellness.

Qualifications:

  • Level 6 Diploma in Therapeutic Massage (2014)

  • Level 6 Diploma in Sports & Massage Therapy (2015)

  • Level 7 Bachelor’s in Health Science – Neuromuscular Therapy (2016)
